Alpha Chi Pi Omega Sorority and Fraternity, Incorporated, is a Greek-letter international service organization dedicated to the development, empowerment, and uplift of haircare and beauty professionals and students, along with the advancement, promotion, and unity of the entire haircare and beauty profession throughout the United States and around the whole wide world.
We were established on Saturday, October 27th, 1945, in Washington, DC, at the Headquarters of the National Council of Negro Women by our beloved and legendary Founder, Dr. Marjorie Stewart Joyner, with our Co-Founder and Renowned educator and White House Advisor, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, and our Co-Founder and illustrious United States Congressman, William Levi Dawson.
Our glorious 38 Pioneer Pearls, who were our Founding Charter Members, stood proudly together in unity, supporting our Mission, Purpose, and Objectives, as they birthed and embodied our Four Founding Pillars, which are: HONOR, EXCELLENCE, PROFESSIONALISM, and SERVICE.
